    Project Overview

    The NEPCON Project aims to promote gender-equitable and inclusive socio-economic living conditions for disadvantaged families in Dhading and Kanchanpur districts. Through targeted interventions in 27 rural communities of Belauri and Galchhi, the project works to reduce poverty, improve access to education and health, and strengthen livelihood opportunities. Special focus is given to women, schoolchildren, and persons with disabilities by enhancing income generation, inclusive disaster preparedness, gender-responsive WASH facilities, and child protection measures. The project also strengthens civil society advocacy to promote long-term, systemic change at the village and school levels.

    • Establishment and strengthening of gender-inclusive farmers’ groups and cooperatives
    • Promoting integrated health and education environments at school and village level
    • Improving inclusive civil protection

     

    Expected Key Results

    The project is expected to improve the socio-economic resilience of 803 disadvantaged families, enhance access to inclusive education, health, and WASH services, and strengthen local advocacy, gender equity, and disaster preparedness in 27 rural communities of Dhading and Kanchanpur.
