    Rural Health System Strengthening

    Project Overview:

    The NLRP II project aims to strengthen food security and climate resilience among smallholder farmers in Laljhadi RM by facilitating sustainable livelihood practices and enterprise development. It emphasizes empowering farmers through the formation and strengthening of groups and community organizations that enable collective action, knowledge sharing, and improved access to resources. The project also prioritizes the social security and welfare of women and children by providing targeted support and capacity-building activities to enhance their economic participation and protection within their communities. Through these interventions, the program seeks to create a more resilient and self-reliant rural population able to cope with climate shocks and economic challenges.

     

    Project Objectives:

    • Enhance household food security and build resilience to climate change through the home garden program
    • To increase the income of entrepreneurial farmers through groups and community-based organizations.
    • Improve the state of social security through the participation of women and children.

     

    Key Expected Outcomes

    The project is expected to increase the income and climate resilience of 420 farming households while improving the social security and well-being of women and children in Laljhadi RM.
